sam_the_cameraman
Hi All, Its my first time here and I'd like some advice if at all possible. I'm new to steadicam and have been offered a Varizoom Black Hawk. I'd like know if this is a good purchase (I've not bought it yet) and what problems if any could I encounter with a Varizoom Black Hawk. How does it compare to a steadicam flyer, or any other quality stabiliser.....ie weight, build, ease of use etc etc. If the Varizoom Black Hawk isn't rated as good what is. I'm looking to buy something future proof and will allow me to use a stabiliser for a good few years. Money is always a worry, but I'm care and would be able to beg and borrow if the goods and price is right. I'm basically looking for something that's easy to setup and maybe even tool-free. Many thanks in advance for all replies. Sam
Premium Members James Elias Posted March 6, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 6, 2008 (edited) Hi Sam: You really should go out there and try the rigs and see what is best for you. Try and get to the BSC show next week and come and see us to try the Steadicam gear. 14th and 15th March at Elstree film and television studios.
