Zoom/Focus/Iris Device

Hi All,

I do a lot of Betacam operating and was wondering if there is a Zoom/Focus/Iris control out there that I can operate from my gimbal. I would even be happy with just Zoom and Focus but there doesnt seem to be many options apart from the Stanton which Im not a huge fan of, the J7 which gets a bagging all over this forum or the Vocas which is really expensive.

I also want it to have an adaptor for both Fujinon and Canon lenses, is this possible? I know there is an adaptor for the Zoom, Canon to Fuji, but what about the Focus pot? or will that adaptor work for both or are there different plugs

Any ideas wold be fantastic,

The Stanton is pretty much your option for zoom focus. I used a ZOE zoom controller and a Bartech with a wired potentiometer velcroed to the side for focus before I got the Stanton. Both have the option to go Canon or Fuji with the 8-12 pin adapter cable.

 

I guess if you wanted iris too you could use a Stanton and the mount a Bartech with a wired controller velcroed to the Stanton in some way?

 

Sounds like you need a 1st AC more than anything if you've got that much going on ;-}
