Premium Members Nils Valkenborgh Posted November 12, 2008 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 12, 2008 For a while now i've got a 4" TV-One monitor to put on my rig. On the site it says that PAL and NTSC are automatically detected, but when I hook up my camera (Canon XL1s PAL) I only get a black and white signal. When i hook up my iphone in NTSC mode ==> Color. What should I do? Buy a new monitor that IS PAL-compatible, or look for a portable PAL-NTSC converter. I really do like the monitor, good view in the sunlight, but a little bit reflective sometimes Some input would be very kind Thanks http://www.tvone.com/lm-401-701-main.shtml
Premium Members Nils Valkenborgh Posted November 16, 2008 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted November 16, 2008 P.S. For all the people who aren't bothered by the PAL-NTSC issue on this monitor i'd still recommend it. The color is good, the brightness is easily adjustable as is the contrast. It has two composite inputs and one composite output, an audio in and a headphone output. When you hook it up to a small 12v battery you can use it for almost an entire day without glitches in the image. In short, a very good and sturdy monitor for newbies or a return signal for live-event operators.
