Premium Members Michael Stumpf Posted January 22, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 22, 2009 Nice Ron. Yeah I keep forgetting you're up in NYC. Let's do it though when you get back. Nick, I can throw down on 2 wheels too. Had a couple dirt bikes when I was a kid growing up in Phx. Got my first one, and RM50 when I was 9. Been awhile since I've thrashed around on the dirt on bikes though, but would do that too. Let's just try to do it before it gets hot. Premium Members Eric Fletcher S.O.C. Posted January 23, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 23, 2009 ron is jealous that i get 400 miles to the tank and can fill up at any fast food restaurant! i'm trying to get him to switch engines, but he likes horsepower! something he's compensating for probably! well you old fart...I have a 500 mile range and fill up on diesel at the station next to the fast food restaurant! I actually have very little horsepower (195 -- not much considering the truck weighs 7500 lbs). I'm into suspension and gearing and think it's funny when people sup up their suv's for speed. Just got 40" tires and a bigger lift though...so I am definitely compensating for something! Michael -- another get together is a great idea. When I'm back in town maybe we can put something together. Love to see Geoff's cruiser in the dirt (BJ's too!). Sounds like fun. Problem is I don't do off road. My Audi only has 3.5" of Ground clearance (500hp though) and the E55 has enough trouble trying to get all 600hp-700lb/ft tq to hookup on pavement. I don't think that my wife would like it If I offroaded her Touareg... I could provide airsupport though :)

I'm sure your lovie will like the fact that you'd be using it for what it was designed for...besides, some light brush-rake will add more character. Premium Members Eric Fletcher S.O.C. Posted January 24, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 24, 2009 Eric- are you involved with World-Challenge this season? We are sitting this year out since we are building a brand new GT car for 2010. As it is World Challenge is a hurting series this year. Right now there are only 12 cars committed for WCGT and none for WCTC.

I might even miss a night at Jumbos for a beer-induced trophy truck high of watching that again. The behind the scenes are insane...something like 40 cameras?! Seeing all the cases piled 15 ft high must have caused a cardiac arrest or two when the ac's arrived in Mexico for the prep. I think Jamie Felz keyed that? She's in the camera-buggie with Dan Brown. rb
