So do you guys think with Pelican buying hardig that storm case prices are going to go up? It's not that big. From what I have heard from Pelican, IF they keep the storm cases they will be the entry level case line
Premium Members Alfeo Dixon SOC Posted March 13, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 13, 2009 A saw this when I ordered my 1490 for my CamWav HD. I was just staring at the screen like when I was a kid and first saw my neighbors gigantic red tool chest for the first time... he had a tool for everything in there. I remember always trying to bring something odd that needed to be fixed. He would look at it, think for a few seconds, reach in and bring out the perfect tool for the job on the first try. And that's the point I became a gadget guy. Not to mention shortly after my mom tore my ass up for taking apart the 8 track player... fun times! Premium Members Jess Haas SOC Posted March 13, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 13, 2009 Price looks a bit steep but looks like it could make a great accessory case. Anyone know how deep the drawers are? ~Jess

Premium Members Alfeo Dixon SOC Posted March 14, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 14, 2009 1" for the shallow drawers and 2" for the Deep drawers Eric, what about the top area... looking for a place to rest the HU3. Do you think they will make a deeper tray? I guess you can always leave out the tray above to make more room.

Moderators Alec Jarnagin SOC Posted March 14, 2009 Moderators Report Share Posted March 14, 2009 It weighs 41.4 pounds with drawers. That doesn't leave much room to put anything in it and still have an airline take the damn thing!

Premium Members Erwin Landau Posted April 6, 2009 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted April 6, 2009 All screening and ranting for nothing... Even the "deeeep" drawers are to shallow to be of any use to us. Great for your car tools... Oh well... I tried.
