It was a day of rehearsing with a handycam figuring out what we could accomplish with the costume and position changes while moving the entire staff around the band in 360 degree environment. Director Frank Borin (green shirt) is watching the clamshell and the crew for when I am 'clear' to move to the next vignette, lots of dropped hats and drumsticks and whatnot trying to get it all to happen. I think I rigged a double 9" kino flow off of my back with the pot controls accessible so gaffer Joe Pauls could bring the light up when we got down stairs and blend into the heavier stage lighting. DOP Samy Ineya was on a second preston system controlling a short Optimo zoom for framing variances, hidden upstairs beside the documetary camera. The every amazing Alex Gomez on focus and smooth hand Grip Alistaire Foster completed our little tech gang, plus wardrobe and and all moving in a little amoeba blob staying just out of frame... or sometimes Not! LOL! Thank you for the nice compliments, it is a pleasure to have your work admired by such an excellent bunch of professionals.
