Premium Members Robert Starling SOC Posted June 24, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 24, 2009 In a few minutes of boredom / geekdom we had on-set last night my AC and I mounted my iPhone 3G S to the sled / camera just under the matte box and did a few shots with it. We're going to try a one'r through the casino tomorrow night and I'll post it up.  So...... I guess we'll have to get Terry West to start making iPhone cables, then we'll get the P&S Techniques Micro-iPhone 35mm lens adapter for it, Zacuto or Element Technica mounting brackets and low mode kit. We'll have to shoot with a iDIT on the crew to upload the files and manage the media plus take messages on incoming calls. The phone will always weigh five ounces but we'll have to attach another 30 pounds of pseudo real camera kit to it to fly. Anyone for an iPhone FilmFest? Robert
Premium Members Charles Papert Posted June 24, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 24, 2009 Funny now, but soon to be a reality. Not long from now the first feature-length iPhone movie will probably materialize (and chances are it will be a bad movie, as technological "firsts" tend to be). Premium Members Henry Gelhart Posted June 26, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 26, 2009 Robert! You have to upload the video on youtube. I have made a similar video with my 3G... FUNNY FUNNY! I taped the iphone on top of the lowmode plate. Honestly, I don't know how to transfer the video FROM the iphone to the computer!? Premium Members chris fawcett Posted June 26, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 26, 2009 I still use a Nokia 6310i with 2 week battery life and an antenna that picked up a signal in the middle of the Amazon. Not trying to make anyone jealous, of course ;)

Premium Members Jess Haas SOC Posted June 28, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 28, 2009 I still have one of these strange devices called a cell phone. It has these things called buttons on it and it makes phone calls. Of course I have been thinking about getting rid of it because I really think the phone booth is going to make a big comeback. ~Jess
Premium Members Alfeo Dixon SOC Posted June 29, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 29, 2009 Nokia 6310i with 2 week battery life and an antenna that picked up a signal in the middle of the Amazon. that's like the cockroach of cell phones... they will still work after a nuke war... infact that will most likely triple your battery life for you.
