Premium Members Lukas Franz Posted June 29, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 29, 2009 Even Colin Hudson picked one up... so you are officially lame... (hihi) I started with a Nokia almost 20 years ago... just when they changed from Natel-C to Natel-D in CH... man I feel old... On the I-Phone train since day one... anyone need a very good maintained original 8 gig I-Phone? Anyone? You're right, Erwin. I'm getting lame...damn! ;-) I'm using my old Samsung at the moment 'cause my HTC doesn't work properly. When I was in the States a few weeks ago I even had no signal at all! Good news is that even with an iPhone it wouldn't have worked because...here it comes...I was still using my very first sim card, what my lovely provider told me was the reason when I was back in Switzerland. Well great, last year it has worked properly in the States!!! Anyway...I keep living without an iPhone so far and I hope, anyone buys that OLD electronic thingamabob from you, Erwin ;-) Cheers. Premium Members Rob Vuona SOC Posted July 1, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 1, 2009 In a few minutes of boredom / geekdom we had on-set last night my AC and I mounted my iPhone 3G S to the sled / camera just under the matte box and did a few shots with it. We're going to try a one'r through the casino tomorrow night and I'll post it up.  So...... I guess we'll have to get Terry West to start making iPhone cables, then we'll get the P&S Techniques Micro-iPhone 35mm lens adapter for it, Zacuto or Element Technica mounting brackets and low mode kit. We'll have to shoot with a iDIT on the crew to upload the files and manage the media plus take messages on incoming calls. The phone will always weigh five ounces but we'll have to attach another 30 pounds of pseudo real camera kit to it to fly. Anyone for an iPhone FilmFest? Robert LOL . . . . The DP yesterday made a lens hood mount for his iPone 3Gs and slid it onto my steadicam, very funny stuff . . . . I took pictures as did the onset photog, everyone including the artist was laughing I'll post them from my iphone

Premium Members Erwin Landau Posted July 1, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 1, 2009 Hey, that's were my old phone went... I had the european version which was slightly smaller, you could save 20 numbers... You actually had power to make 3 phone calls before you had to hook it up to a power source... My old IT teacher used to have a phone that was connected via a coiled cable to a massive battery. was about 5kg and it had a long antenna on the top. It stored lots of numbers, providing you had small hand writing and you were organised in the attached address book...

Premium Members Peter Hoare Posted July 6, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 6, 2009 Hah, very well done. Hardly an insult to iPhones though. Kind of annoyed to find its a viral advert for nova scotia though. Was hoping some talented student made it in his evenings of the past two years... Premium Members Peter Schmehl Posted July 10, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 10, 2009 ;) Well, I guess if there is a market........ :) But you guys seriously need to consider SLR`s like the Nikon D5000 (in europe) that delivers an excellent HD video feed.... with interchangeable film lenses for a great price. If the sound quality gets better, I will mount one to my Master sled (of course with a weight cage), adding a wireless Focus. :) We`ll see what the future brings. :) take care guys Peter
