operating basics

hi there

i am a new operator and i want to know is there a archive forum that covers the basics of operating as im sure its all been covered before. Unfortunatly i cant make it to a workshop this year and have bought the book but am having trouble doing the switch is there a discusion that covers this or would anyone be willing to offer some help

Buy the Steadicam EFP training DVD from TIffen. The switch (and many other useful topics) are covered well. $20 well-spent, especially if you can't make it to a workshop.

The EFP-training DVD is funny and nice,

also Jerrys book "steadicam operators handbook" is a good start. All basics(position,switch,...) with many pictures.

But i think a workshop/or some instruction-training with an operator, is the best way to start into steadicamworld.
