Hey all, I know this is a long shot, but if anyone has an adaptor to mount a v-lock battery onto an AB mount and is anywhere near North Hollywood, I'll love you to pieces if you call me ASAP! Won't be near the internet in about 5 min.

XOXOXO

Yeah, BH photo sells 'em, a fact I was already painfully aware of. Thanks Jess for having one available, though I was unable to get it.

I have a Flyer, it's not often I do a Red shoot. Last night was only the second time, in fact. Haven't bought an adapter cause I didn't think I'd need it that often, and I can borrow/rent one if needed. Same goes for a downconverter. The Red is basically the only camera I can put on my rig I would ever need a downconverter for. But then there's days like yesterday. I was on one gig, got someone to cover and left for the Steadi gig. Cover falls through, I leave late, miss the adapter I had waiting, barely got the downconverter. No problem, with the weight I had before, I can probably spare having the battery on the Red. I show up and oh no, the CF cards have been swiped for a co-owner's (of the Red) vacation. Have to use the raid drive. Okay, no battery on the rig, luckily they have a belt clip with long power cable to put the Red battery on.

Call time was 7:30, I got there at 8 (called them well before to give them that as an ETA) I was ready to go by 9 (camera still packed in it's case so i had to build it) and the first take was at 12:10. I wanted to punch someone. And I haven't even gotten to the ridiculous parts yet...

Brian, too bad you didn't think to ask me yesterday when we bumped into each other in the Clairmont parking lot, I had two of those adaptors right in my case...! Sorry I didn't see this post until now.

Adam, yes, there is also an adaptor made the other direction, I only found this out yesterday. Not sure if this is the exact one we ended up getting:

Thanks Charles, unfortunately I didn't even have the gig for another hour or so after I ran into you. That's double bummer then, cause where we ran into each other is where the adapter I missed was! Hope you got your wheels situation solved painlessly!
