Premium Members Jens Piotrowski SOC Posted December 14, 2009 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 14, 2009 Heden has a new motor available. It's apparently 3x times smaller and lighter than the DM-2! Great for Iris or Zoom applications. M21ve Heden contact: Magnus

Premium Members Thomas English Posted November 4, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 4, 2010 How strong is it? Have you had it on any stiff lenses? It really is a second motor no? You need something stronger as your primary motor?

I was told it has the torque of a DM2. i'm using it primarily for iris/zoom applications, but you can use it on S4 or ultra primes as focus motor without a problem......it comes with a set of gears for all standard lenses and integrated bracket. Premium Members Pedro Guimaraes SOC Posted January 12, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 12, 2011 i have 2 of them as part of my Cmotion kit. They are much smaller/lighter than the 26's They are surprisingly powerful. Along with my new cvolution handset I can boost the torque of this motor. So far it has been able to handle all the lenses (no primos yet), I have even used them to move IO and convergence just to see if they will do it....so far so good. So it's highly recomended..... Andrew Stone
Thanks for the reply Jens! Daniel Stilling posted up a sound clip a couple of weeks ago demonstrating how quiet this motor is. Here's his post for those who are interested. Premium Members Jess Haas SOC Posted February 25, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 25, 2011 Woops. Ours is a M26VE not the 21. Still nice and small and suprisingly powerful.
Premium Members Jess Haas SOC Posted February 25, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 25, 2011 Anyone know what the torque spec is? Since the motor is so short do you find that you need to use a dog bone most of the time? With the 28 I find I never really need to but it is a much longer motor. Premium Members Pedro Guimaraes SOC Posted February 27, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 27, 2011 Note about some heden motors, All my heden motors 21's and 26's came with my C-motion Cvolution kit. My FIZ kit is 3D ready so I have 8 motors! I choose to have 6 26's and 2 21's. I use the 2 21's when I do 2D....but like I said previously they have turned everything I have used them on.... Cmotion sends special boards to heden, they use those boards in all the heden motors they ship to cmotion that they then include in their kits. Cmotion claims that performance is improved and reliability is better via improved "grounding" of the new boards. Thus they do charge more for them  and they recommend using thier "heden" version motors with thier equipment but naturally regular hedens and preston motors still work just fine with all the cmotion equipment... Exception is that with the previous Cmotion receiver you need a special cable to go c-motion to preston motor. The new "cvolution" receiver you can use the same motor cables with the heden motors and preston motors which is great new feature. I'll see if I can get torque specs from Sebastien from C-motion/Camadeus.... for 21 and 26....
