Thin HD Cable to F35?

Is anyone using Terry Wests' super thin HD cable from the F35 camera to the Deck? I have a DIT who won't let me use it because it's 50 ohm. He'll let me use it if someone else is with no problems. He says he doesn't have the testing equipment to evaluate it so he's afraid to try it. I really want to use it!

Thanks in advance

The 50 ohm stuff can sometimes cause issues. No reason for 50ohm anyway when there is Belden super small and flexible 75ohm stuff

My friend Afton just made up a few. The irony, which I can't believe no one has mentioned (including me because I didn't think of it either) is that it makes sense to make one side of the cable male BNC connectors so you don't need to use barrels. So obvious.....

That's how I've been building my jumper cables for the last five years. Kills 6db of signal loss

Doesn't have the male connector but they are well made and cheap: http://www.sjmediasystem.com/mb-mb-6.html

Tecnec has a bunch of LA dealers so should be able to find them locally here as well.

Except it's neither as thin or flexiable as the 9221 and since you have to use a barrel mist dit's aren't really going to appreciate that cable.

Just because it's cheap doesn't make it good

Considering that it IS Belden 9221 I would think that it is both as thin and flexible....

The fact that it requires a barrel is far less than ideal but if he needs a solution in a hurry they are available premade and as I said are high quality cables despite the low price.

When I checked your link this am it didn't have the cable info. Bottom line is that you still have to use a barrel and DIT's REALLY frown on that. The correct solution is a M/F cable such as I make and use.
