the tiffen /and steadicam site have been down for almost a week now.....

 

somewhere i found a new site that mentioned that they were physically moving locations (not web locations like steadycam.us ) but to a different building....

 

so hopefully they will be back up soon....

 

 

(i also heard a few years back that tiffen was going out of business, then the started selling steadicam,,,, hmmmm has it finally happened???)

Calm yourself, grasshopper! Tiffen-Steadicam has just moved to larger, nicer, more centrally located facilities in Glendale right (and I mean right) on the border of Burbank. They have combined the Steadicam manufacturing facility with the sales office that used to be in the office building on Hollywood way into one facility.

 

I'm jealous. It's much nicer than that rat hole we used to be in on La Cienega.

Yes. Steadicam is alive and well in our new digs in Glendale. As Jim said we are on the border. Back wall in Burbank and the rest of the building in Glendale.

So, as you can see we are very much alive and well in Glendale. We invite you to stop in but as you can imagine we still are not totally settled.

 

We introduced three new systems at NAB and Internationally during IBC a couple of weeks ago. Not only are we alive but growing by now offering 9 different STEADICAM systems from which to choose.

 

The Vector (Film and Video), Clipper (Video) and the FLYER have been receiving Rave reviews. All units are shipping and we have service and parts support.

 

(Note-This is not a commercial but someone did mention equipment availability.)

 

Our plan is to have an Open House in December for all to see our new home.

It IS right on the border. Tiffen is only (in my estimation) 1 block into Glendale from Burbank.
