I have a model 2 vest. Rebuilt by Pete Abraham about 12 years ago. Haven't used it since going with a back mount in '01

Hi Ron,

that sounds interesting, but help me with the "model 2" because I´m not yet familiar with all the models in the past, sorry.

And what is meant by rebuilt? I do know Pete A., I met him at the workshop in Exton.

Could you send some pictures of the vest?

Thanks a lot!

Yeah,

the model II steadicam is actually one of the first rigs by CP

The vest is similar to the Model III so it might be something for you.

Rebuilt means, that he modified the vest, (erneuert)

Do you need the vest as a backup or as your primary vest and what arm do you have?

Since you might wanna get in touch with a master series vest, they are quite comfy

(at least MORE comfortable then a model II or III) and not that expensive anymore either. ;)

Uhhmm... yeah

The Model II is the third steadicam built and sold by Cinema products (Steadicam 35 followed by the model I and then the II)

I always found the model I suit to be the most comfortable suit to come from CP/Tiffen

I Always loved the model 1 vest as well (so did Mark and George, who designed the Pro vest). The main difference is that the 2 has the breakaway back (mine is disabled), the 1 doesn't, which is why so many like it. It's very similar to the 3 with the black plastic. I never liked the vests with leather...too floppy and creaked a lot. I'll try to snap a picture for you. I'm not actively trying to sell it, just saw your post and I never use it.

Good information, thank you all.

Henry.. the vest is going to be my first, so my primary vest. After attending the soa Workshop in PA with Garrett and Jerry I´m about to buy my first rig. I was going to buy a new vest, the artemis vest, but a couple of days ago I tried an older EFP-Vest that fitted and felt perfectly (it was not for sale), thats why I decided to buy a used one... The arm is either going to be a G50 or a used, barely touched Artemis Arm, also a wonderful piece with a littler more load cap than the G50, but I like the great boomrange and the isoelasticity of the Tiffen Arm. Thats the background.

Picture would be great, Ron.
