Lifesaver Dual Fast Charger

Hi everyone,

 

Was the Anton Bauer Lifesaver Dual Fast Charger made with both flat faces and angled faces? I thought they were angled, but in this picture it looks flat. Is this picture an optical illusion? Is my memory failing me? Or were they made both ways? How many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop?

The one I have at work has flat faces.

Those Lifesavers in my pocket have donut shape :P

Looks like a bit of an optical illusion to me. You can see at the bottom where the angled face flattens out and there is a flat strip where the lights are. You can also see the curved top edge. That is exactly like mine which indeed has an angled face. My lifesaver Q2 anc CPS-2 chargers on the other hand are plain old boxes with a flat face.

 

On another note does anyone know which serial number Lifesaver Dual chargers can be updated to charge which batteries? Mine doesn't even want to charge new digital trim packs. It does old nicads just fine though.

can any of you fine gentlemen confirm that a four digit serial number is accurate for one of these chargers? Thanks!

 

ETA: Nevermind, Paul Dudeck to the rescue! All their early chargers had S/N with 3, 4, or 5 digits

I just bought one of these for $500 and have the AB Dionic-90 battery, but for some reason it won't charge completely. Any ideas? Is the Q2 not updated enough for the newer D90's?

I have an angled faced Dual charger as well. I got the DDM module upgrade chip and it charges Dionics and Hytrons just fine. Check with Paul Dudeck to see if the flat faced model is up-gradeable.

Hi Peter,

 

The Q2 is an older style charger and is not upgradeable for the Dionic series of batteries. It will charge ProPacs, Trimpacs and HyTRON's no problem though.
