Premium Members Marco Dardari Posted February 18, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 18, 2010 I'm looking to buy a wireless focus device. Premium Members RonBaldwin Posted February 18, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 18, 2010 Hey Mike, I think Marco just asked what car he could get for under $10k and you replied "I have a Ferrari and it rocks!" Nice. I am partial to the Bartech because the customer service is wonderful and it's a solid piece of gear for the money. But being in Europe it might be simpler to buy local? rb
Premium Members Mark Karavite Posted February 19, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 19, 2010 BFD's are extremely reliable, robust units. Combined with M1 motors, it's a great option if you don't have the $$ for a Preston or C Motion. Before owning 2 Preston units, I had 2 BFD's with M1 motors for focus & iris capability. I had 1 small problem in 5 years & Jim fixed it fast. Great customer service. Check the for sale forum for used units.

Premium Members Kelsey W. Smith Posted February 19, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 19, 2010 You can have the most expensive FF you want, to me it comes down to one thing.......service! The Bartech + M-One gets my vote, Jim's outstanding service is second to none! ;) Cheers, Kelsey W
Premium Members Marco Dardari Posted February 19, 2010 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted February 19, 2010 Thanks for quick response! Yes Rob, my budget are under 10K. In Europe it simpler to buy BFD, but a little bit expansive that in USA. But BFD are not auto calibration like DigiFox ... what of it you say? I recall the DigiFox is a little more expensive than the BFD. Both units calibrate. Fox does that automaically and the BFD does it manually. It would be good to know if there is any difference precisionwise since the DigiFox uses digital motors. I personally own a BFD with a Heden motor and that rocks, too. Moderators Alec Jarnagin SOC Posted February 20, 2010 Moderators Report Share Posted February 20, 2010 Marco, Buy one (or two) Baretchs with M-One motors. Killer combination. Some of the best customer service in the biz (or any biz for that matter) too.
