Premium Members denis moran Posted February 23, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 23, 2010 I have a 3d beamsplitter rig and I'm looking to buy a Mini Worral to mount it on. Thanks. Denis
Premium Members Alfeo Dixon SOC Posted February 24, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 24, 2010 I don't know how large your rig will be and what size cameras, but usually you want the beefier heads to play... I would thing a full size head would be a better option.
Premium Members Aaron Medick SOC Posted February 25, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 25, 2010 Hey Alfeo, I'm not sure if you were joking, but a mini worral is a gear head. It's only a mini because the standard worral is a beast. I think the mini is 35 or 40 lbs. and the regular is over 65lbs. AM
Premium Members Kyle Young Posted February 26, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 26, 2010 My friend has one for sale, Panavision Panahead, light weight geared head. We've had it about 10 years but it has seen very little use by us or it's former owner. It has all the accessories and handles. It's virtually new in the case. Panavision Panahead in like new condition. Comes in it's own fitted case with accessories. $20,000 OBO ftcorlando@aol.com www.cinerover.com 818-566-7601

I love it myself and wish I could afford one right now! (yes I'm hating) I just thought with the medium to larger (RED) cameras in a 3D setup, you maybe fighting against the gears on that size head. your basically tripling the camera weight with any 3D rig. I'm just saying, if the primary purpose is 3D, then one may want to conceder taming the beast. -Alfeo
