Whereabouts of Gene Taylor???

Hi, Steadicam guys:

 

Please help me set my mind at ease: Does anyone know the whereabouts of Gene Taylor, or any other information? He's a Steadicam operator in southern California. I am a friend of his (we used to sing/socialize together) - but long about December 2004/January 2005, he abruptly fell out of touch - like he dropped off the face of the earth. Has something happened to him, do you know? If you know him and/or are in touch, please ask him to contact me. If you have any pertinent info, that would be great. I'd really appreciate it. I'll check back to this board periodically.

As far as I know Gene's been gone from Steadicam for a long time.

 

Last I heard taking care of sick relative somewhere in California, but that was ages ago.

 

Your best bet is facebook or google search good luck, nice guy.

Gene was and always will be a great friend. His mother had suffered a fall and took seriously ill. Gene had moved in and took over her care back then which was around the time Lauren pointed out. Don't know any of the details but things were serious enough to consume his time and energy. Wish we could all contact and reconnect but we each must follow our own path and calling.

 

Gene, I know you have lurked here in the past. Come on out and let us know you still are out there. We all miss you.
