Eric, what monitor do you have on your Flyer now? The short answer is yes, it will mount right up to your lower spar with the existing 1/4-20 thumb screw. There's info in this thread about cable adaptors:

Not for nothing, but that still doesn't mean you will be able to use the HDSDI inputs. Unless you had some work done on your rig (or have Tiffen's "red edition"), the existing wires won't support HD-SDI. So you would have to run a 75ohm BNC outside the post anyways.

Kevin, It does have framelines. It can power with a battery, your choice when ordering, or through 4 pin XLR. Sled must support HD for that to work, but NTSC will pass.

I believe the 6.5" doesn't have user adjustable framelines, just stock 16:9 and 4:3? This is a "fail" as far as Steadicam is concerned, where one has to be able to work with multiple oddball frame sizes (less so in HD, but for instance the Canon DSLR's have that funky smaller image within the HD frame).

 

The newest generation 7", for those considering, is the XP series (http://www.lcdracks.com/monitors/6.5-7.0.html). This are just now shipping and have various improvements over the previous model that Roman noted at the beginning of the thread, including user adjustable framelines. There are some other goodies coming that will be beneficial for Steadicam use that I'm not at liberty to discuss--they may be revealed at NAB. In any event, the 7" is really only appropriate for interior use while the 6.5" Daybrite is a much better all-purpose choice for Steadicam, although it is a much smaller image when working with a 16:9 source. The improvements in the XP's will be ported to the next generation Daybrite, so I would recommend anyone considering that size to wait a little bit.

My bad I have the newer 6.5" which has improvement. Framelines are stock but more choices, 14:9, 1:8.5, etc. I haven't had problems, but I haven' done DSLR's on this monitor since it doesn't have HDMI port. I still love it, and it was not expensive.

Just got an email back from Marshall saying that the new V-LCD651STX-3GSDI will be released in less than a month. I actually have an unopened V-LCD651ST-3GSDI sitting in front of me that I think I am actually about to return because of this. Could really use the monitor on the shoot I start on Saturday but think I am probably going to wait for the new features. If anyone in LA can't wait and wants to buy this one off me before I return it let me know ($1890).

I figured. Its on their website now although the new 6.5" monitor isn't there yet. They do have an 8.4" Transflective although looks like the battery mount isn't centered and it might be a bit big for Steadicam.
