Premium Members chris bangma Posted June 27, 2011 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted June 27, 2011 Things have been a little quiet for us, just slowly working away on the new version. This week we will be working on the software for the new controller. Will be adding framelines, masking, and bubble level. We will also be testing the hardware for the bubble level as well. If anyone has any features that they would like us to implement, please speak up and let us know. Here are some details about what we are thinking of doing. -Framelines, 2 sets, both fully adjustable, and the ability to change the color of the framelines. This way you could have a 16:9 frameline, and also have a 4:3 frameline in a different color, so it is less distracting. There will also be the ability for crosshair or center dot. Still debating whether there should be a set of "canned" framelines, or just leave it adjustable. -Masking, ability to adjust the opacity of the image outside the main framelines. Maybe the ability to adjust the opacity between the inner and outer framelines? -Bubble Level, will have the ability to change the position on the screen, change the width of the bubble, the span, and the color of the bubble. Premium Members Jon Beattie Posted June 27, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 27, 2011 Anyone mounted one of these on the u2 monitor mount? Will the cinetronic work as is or will a another monitor mount need to be used?
Premium Members William Demeritt Posted June 27, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 27, 2011 I think adjustable framelines would be critical over canned framelines. Everything else sounds cool.
Premium Members Benjamin Treplin Posted June 27, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 27, 2011 1.3x anamorphic desqueezing would be great.

Premium Members Leandro Silva Posted June 30, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 30, 2011 Just wondering... Read in a different thread about an upcoming 5.6" version of the Cinetronic. Is that too small a screen for a big rig? I seem to recall the Marell crt monitor was close to 5.5"... Will it be to light? If there was a 5.6" version, with a gold mount/vlock mount in the middle of the back, it could double as steadicam monitor and an onboard monitor, depending on how heavy one needed it to be... So what do you guys think? Is 5.6" too little? too light? Thanks Leandro
mike skipp
We should have a 5.6" version available by late August mid September.

Premium Members Joe Lawry Posted July 13, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 13, 2011 Bumping in the hope of some new info to mull over. Unfortunately I did not make it to CineGear to see the monitor as a friend of mine passed away and i was unable to travel. I've got an insanely good exchange rate going with the USD right now, so its a good time to purchase, Keen to wait and see the new housing though. Hope all's going to plan. Premium Members Tammy Jones Posted July 17, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 17, 2011 I was shooting at the Calgary Stapede all day in the full sun. I didn't even need a shade. I am looking forward to the modifications. Chris has gone above and beyond for customer support.

Premium Members Thomas English Posted July 20, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 20, 2011 So can one still feed an SD Signal in through the power lemo connector as I can on my TB6? Can I zoom shrink the image and place the bubble outside of the video space? Particularly relevant on 16:9 monitor with a 16:9 signal fed to it with no "look around". Is there an eta on the new housings for the 7inch ers?
