How to practice???

Hi folks,

 

I have been an operator for a year now since my workshop. Unfortunately I dont have the cash to buy a rig, but I am super keen to get practice in. So my question is how would you go about getting practice in on a regular basis without access to a rig and camera. I have recently moved to Paris, so I dont know any operators in the city well enough who would trust me with their gear.

It is very frustrating as Im just itching to get back into a rig!

 

Any suggestions will be very welcome.

Neel, you could always pick up a used Pilot and practice with that. A lot of the dynamics will translate to larger rigs.

You may not know any other operators well enough to borrow rigs to practice, but we're all eager to practice with someone in a larger group or practice session. Try and get in touch with other operators in your area, ask if you can come to their practice sessions, and maybe someone will let you fly their rig. If you don't have a vest, that may make it problematic, but who knows. Lots of generous people out there!
