Premium Members Brian Freesh Posted April 14, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 14, 2010 what surprised me the most was the limitation of the "tilt" due to the design.... but again, maybe Charles can chime in, would this work without the sled, directly mounted to the arm? Jens The sled is integral to how it works. Pan and tilt work because of that sled. That sled is the counterbalance. That sled also has the monitor. Although they are still playing with it, and things may change. The sled has to stay though, doesn't work without it. Hoping that sooner rather than later (or never) there will be gimbal swap outs or attachments available for exsisting rigs. Suppose I'll wait for the thing to be released though. Premium Members Bryan Trieb Posted April 14, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 14, 2010 Very interesting concept. After watching the posted video on freshdv.com.....I wonder how stable the horizon is during movement. Looks like the horizon goes off, much like when you swing a pole cam. A very curious project! Looking fwd to seeing how this develops. Thanks for the NAB updates guys! Bry
