Have you looked into the Focus Enhancement series? There are quite a few others out there as well. I actually have this camera, (I think it's the same one) and it doesn't have all the same recording functions that a dedicated DTE unit would have... It will also playback HD movie files that you load into it, but again, no HD DVR capabilities.
