Solvents and lubes

Recommended Posts

I am wondering what sort of lubrication people use on their metal hardware - I am finding I need to get on some of the thumblocks on my Ultra sled with something, they have become sticky to the point of being difficult ---interested generally in what lubes and solvents people find indespensable and for what specific uses.

Has anybody heard of "boshield" sp?? Tuner cleaner? Also what do you all use then cleaning your mechanical parts to disperse moisture? Looking forward to a whatever anybody would like to share as far as maintenance and such.

Best to all,

Tom

-industry (also food-idustry because t´s non poison)

-animal-care:cleaning dogs ears and horses tail

-steadicam-care: non greasy, perfect lubricant, preserves from rust and actually removes rust if it´s only a bit, let´s the post slide smothly.

-steadicam-operators-care: the smell of it makes happy and if people ask what that stuff is you tell them:it´s weapon oil and everyone goes : ooooh !
