any opinions on wet weather gear to get for use while operating?

Hi!. For arm, monitor and vest, I use covers made by Tiffen. For camera it cover, and for sled, kitchen film (too much or all you need). Just finished your shot it´s important use compressed air to clean the gimbal of humidity. Rain or dessert sand isn´t the best place for your gear.... Protect it all you can and just finish your work, clean all...

Camera Essentials and Jerry Hill are essentially one in the same. I think they must make covers for Jerry, so check in with him. I know he has the Arm Cover. Camera Essentials has a variety of monitor/battery covers for the bottom of specific sleds. Those might also be available through Jerry. Always best to support another operator if you can..

I think Patty Harrison still makes all the rain gear. I have never needed anything other than her stuff. As far as a rain coat, the Marmot Precip jacket is super light, packs small and the pockets are right over the socket block of a pro vest (no jacket mod required, just a slit in the mesh pocket on the inside). Rain/cold jackets for my back mounted harness were a bit more complicated.
