I'm in need of insurance. Any advice or info? On or off forum.

 

We've used Marshall Enterainment Insurance in Orlando, Florida for 12-15 years. They've been around a very long time and specialize in equipment and Producer packages. The great thing is they understand the nature of the business, including the perils and pitfalls of insurance / claims with high value items. 407 363-1537.

 

Tammy King is likely the person you would want to talk to there to start. My experience with them has been very good and when we need an Certificate of Insurance, it just takes minutes. After-hours they have an online portal for you to issue Certs yourself but it's not quite as quick to process.

I use Walter P. Dolle in Ohio. They have many options to there coverage and they insure for replacement value. They also cover rental equipment and offer rental reimbursement incase you need to rent gear in the event of a loss.

Tonya is the Steadicam rep she's always been very nice and the premium is reasonable. As for there payouts, I've never had a claim so I can't honestly say.

I use Walter P. Dolle as well, nice people (Tonya), an easy to read and understand contract, and price is very good. Unfortunatly I wish they would offer Liability insurance as well.

I am working on a insurance for my gear, There not many options and the are'nt cheap eighter.

The last one covers my gear at home, in my car and during travel. The want 2.5% of its new value Replacement value.

Is this a normal rate?

No. Its not a special case. They do carry Liability Insurance. I just got my equipment coverage and also got a quote on liability.
