London film schools

Does anyone know if any London-based film schools, or even any regular universities have course/modules have modules or whole courses that deal in Steadicam, and camera operation for Steadicam?

 

I will do a Tiffen stater course at some point, but I was wondering if there were part time or evening courses around that anyone could suggest?

As far as I am aware there are no schools or colleges that have a specific Steadicam module. NFTS run short courses but this is not part of their regular studies and London Film Academy certainly include "taster" days within every course (we usually get involved. Why not give James or myself a call 0870 100 1220?

Hi Robin, thanks very much for the reply!

 

I have actually spoken to James about the one day Pilot course, which happened today I think. I wasn't able to attend this one --glad I didn't book, as I've come down with some wretched cold and wouldn't have enjoyed it.

 

I will do the Pilot course at some point, and probably move on to the others, when funds allow.

 

What I'm wondering, is if I should have some camera training too, which would back up the Steadicam plans I have :)
