Does anyone know anything about the Jerry Hill power base ?

I've never seen on a rig and don't believe Jerry Hill keeps making it.

Thanks

Hi Remi,

if you are talking about the sled that Jerry made about 10 years ago, Alec Jarnagan had one for a while and Peter Vietro in NY still uses one. Uses 2 ab batts with a lot of available fore/aft adjustment. I hear Jim Bartel did the wiring so it's pretty solid I assume.

Yes that's the one. It looks like the batteries are hanging pretty low. I'm wondering whether or not this makes for a potentially long sled? Any thoughts?

It makes for a shorter sled since your battery mass is as far from the camera mass as it can get

Ah physics at its best. That makes sense, Thanks Eric. As I've personally never seen the sled other than on picture i wasn't sure of the end result. Cause it looks like the top part of the base is pretty thick so i was wondering how this would play out. Any idea how well made that base is ?

Cheers

It's not my sled of choice.... there are better sleds to buy.
