Let's get out and do some wheeling. I'm stuck on sound stages so much I can't wait to get out on the weekends and hit some trails. Ok, ok, we can still talk shop and have a few beers, but at higher elevation and in cleaner air. A month ago Colin Hudson and Jeff Clark joined me for a day of carnage in Gorman. We had a great time. A few more trucks and more people to share drinks with would be nice. I have some great pictures Colin sent me, but I can't post them here for some reason. I'm heading out this Sunday (10/31) if anyone wants to join. Don't worry, one can choose the level of carnage (from easy sand/dirt fire roads to hard core break tie-rods and go home on a tow truck hills of death). No brush rake either so with a car wash your street queen will be as pimp'n as new. Besides -- I don't have a winch installed yet so I'll need somebody to pull me out if I get stuck. Started driving cross country from Miami on Sunday 7pm, Passed El Paso about 3 am on Tuesday. was going to be in LA by 3pm!!. Well then My Water Pump shaft gave way while driving with no warning, sending my Fan into the radiator, Shreaded the Fan, Radiator, and Water Pump!. Used AAA plus 4 seperate times to travel 387 miles to Tucson!! got the Water Pump fixed, and Fan, Radiator comes in an hour, and while I'm at it I'm replacing the Gas tank with a larger 34 gallon tank I got. So I should be on my way into your town at about 1am!. Have meetings tomorrow all day but I plan to swing by and say hello afterwards so you can see the Blue Rover firsthand. Will have to continue the trip up to Oregon on Saturday afternoon. SO no time to wheel. But I'll be in the LA area mid January til February so we'll have time then. I wish I could post pictures here...went out this past weekend with John Hankammer (sans sled!) and played in the mud (then drank beer) climbed some crazy hills (then drank more beer) and finally hit the snow on Mt. Pinos (ate sushi, cheetos, and finished the beer). Let me know when you're in town -- I'm working through Feb, but the weekends are free. BJ's on a vampire movie called Angry Dragon (or was it Bat Wing?) so he can't come for a few weeks...come on guys...anyone else out there with a life off the set and a 4-low? It's pretty cool -- I may have trouble keeping up with him on the trails. He'll be in town for the month of Jan and we'll be hitting the snow in Big Bear. He'll have an empty seat or two, so will I if anyone wants to come (and is afraid to get dirt on their Touregs). and yes, BJ, you can bring the bb gun. Don't forget your bat wing.
