Premium Members Jerry Franck Posted September 12, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 12, 2010 Hi all, Does anyone know the specs on the small screws that Panavision uses to mount your dovetail plate? I'm looking to buy some extra ones at a hardware store. Thanks, Jerry
Premium Members Sanjay Sami Posted September 12, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 12, 2010 I made my own Panavision plate with 3/8th threads tapped into it, so the plate stays on my sled, very low profile and light weight, and the camera can just be clicked in. So that once you balance, you can take the camera away, and just drop it right back into the exact same spot you balanced it in.

So, I take it a PRO plate is not considered a thick dovetail right?
