All-

I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. I've been in love with Steadicam shots since first learning of the rig in my first film class. A couple summers ago I got to work on the Nightmare on Elm St. remake and was blown away watching Jacques Jouffret. He was a great inspiration and gladly answered all my questions.

Freelance gigs have been going well, so I picked up a Pilot to run my 7D in August. It's been so much fun and I appreciate all the tips and tricks you all have contributed to those starting out.

Hey Luc, and welcome to the forum.

In my case, the iinterest in becoming a steadicam operator came back in 1998, when i was an Assistant for the amazing Danish op, Karsten Jacobsen. But it was almost 10 years later that I got my first rig. A small low cost rig, that just barely could cope with My HPX 500.

Now I own a Clipper 312 and do 2-5 days of steadicam a month.

Other than Steadicamming, I do a lot of hand held, I edit and much more...

But it's steadicam that My heart beats for.
