Premium Members Carl Wiedemann Posted December 16, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 16, 2010 Matthias, I'm also interested in the adapter. ( Jumping in late here and hoping the requests haven't overtaken the output of the initial run.) Carl

Premium Members Philip J. Martinez SOC Posted December 16, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 16, 2010 I like the Arri Universal Quick Release HD Base or Crozial quick release plate. http://www.zgc.com/webstore.nsf/products/arri_338353 http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=Quick+Release+Plates&N=4291534948 That way you can go on and off really quickly if you get 2. 1 for steadi 1 for tripod head. It great for jobs where there is only 1 camera. I mount right to the quick release and do not use the sliding base plate.

Premium Members Matthias Biber Posted December 17, 2010 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted December 17, 2010 I could use one for monday. Are they ready? I´m promised to get them back from anodizing on monday. After that, I´ll send PM to everyone who indicated interest, to figure out shipping details and payment. I don´t want to sell before I really have the final product in my hands. Robert and Lawrence, until you have my plate, go for the Arri Universal Quick Release HD Base. Don´t forget to get the arri wedge adapter.
Premium Members Nicholas Davidoff Posted December 21, 2010 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 21, 2010 I got an email today from Matthias that the Alexa plates are ready to ship from Germany. If any of you guys who have ordered one are interested in saving a few dollars on international Fedex, maybe we can send a few (or several) in one package and split the shipping. Acording to Fedex rate-finder, a 2 pound package from Germany to L.A. costs around $100. A 10 pound package costs around $140. Maybe ship five plates in one pop at around $30 a piece??? If anybody in the Burbank/Valley area is interested, please drop me a line in the next couple days and I'll see if we can set this up. ~ Nick Davidoff (310) 567-9668 NicholasDavidoff@hotmail.com
