Also, if you have intention of using it with the 5DMKII, it probably won't pass the SD signal that the camera drops to while recording, as the specs say it does 720p and 1080i. The best unit out there for this is the Blackmagic converter, which is, as previously described, hobbled by a tendency to fail (it's not really meant for production use, more to live quietly behind a studio monitor).
