Premium Members Rob Vuona SOC Posted January 20, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 20, 2011 Hey Guys, Just an update on the fiber jumper dilemma I heard about . . . . . . . . (ie: Mohawk is no longer making the cables) Leslie Hicks who used to be our contact at Mohawk for the past 11 years, is no longer with Mohawk and has moved to a new company , Phoenix Optix Inc. she said, "I want to put the word out to as many people as possible that I can make the Steadicam assemblies here at my new place, for a competitive price." Tell her I sent you to receive a discount . . . .well she didn't approve the discount but it never hurts to try . . . LOL . . . Her contact info is: LESLIE HICKS Manager-Fiber Optic & Broadcast Solutions Phoenix Optics Inc. 15 Gray Lane, Ashaway RI 02804 Phone: 401-637-4600 Fax: 401-637-4606 Cell: 401-477-2356 email: leslie@phoenixoptix.com website: www.phoenixoptix.com Fly Safe
Premium Members Rob Vuona SOC Posted February 24, 2011 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted February 24, 2011 Update on the fiber jumper cable: Leslie sent me one of the new cables to try out, I used it all week and it worked flawlessly. If your in the genre that requires Fiber, this jumper is a must for your kit. All the best
Blair Holland
I will have to check them out. I work in a Fiber Optics Manufacturer also and it is always good to make some contacts. We are in Florida . From the looks you guys do some pretty specialized stuff.
