Since I just purchased a new arm, I'm finally letting go of my tried-and-true Steadicam Merlin arm. I have already sold the vest, so all I have for sale at the moment is the arm, and a spare socket block, so you could put it on any vest. The arm was purchased new in 2007, and has seen probably 30 shoots since. It's been very well maintained, and has been sent back to Tiffen for cleaning, service, and upgrades. All parts are completely functional, and it even includes both the original Merlin arm post (curved to an angle and about 6" long) and a custom Stainless Steel arm post, for use with more traditional sleds. The arm post diameter for both is 1/2". The arm can support roughly 15 pounds of sled and camera total. As I said, it does include a vest-side socket block, so you could easily mount this up to a homebuilt vest or a competitor's vest with just a few mods. This part alone is around $40, plus shipping. I'll also throw in a brand new set of stainless steel screws to go with it, if you're interested. The socket block is a smaller size that is compatible with Merlin, Pilot, and Flyer arms. Pictures are going to be coming tonight, when I get back to where I have my equipment stored. I'm looking for around $600 for the arm and socket block.
