I'm getting a Wireless Follow Focus system for my Flyer LE. that I will use mainly with video cameras, so I need to get a mounting plate with rods to attach the Focus motor to it. I have read that there's a plate with rods from Tiffen for Clipper and Ultra, but it seems they don't make one for the Flyer LE. I have seen also a couple of models in the internet, but I don't know if they are rigid enough for a Steadicam use. Which are the options? Any recomendation from your experience? Thanks! So if there are holes for rods on a clipper plate, there are probably holes for rods on the flyer plate. I think another thread was just talking about this too... At any rate, if you grab the rods but don't have the holes in your plate, you can tap them yourself or take it to a machinist to do. Call Tiffen to see what they have. Thank you very much for your reply. I asked Robin, from Tiffen, really helpful always, and the accesory they make is intended to fix the dovetail of the bigger rigs. I am thinking about getting a plate with rods to attach between the Flyer doveplate and the camera, so all the gear is always on and ready to work if I change from Steadicam to tripod. I've been evaluating both options: Rods attached to the Steadicam dovetail or a separate baseplate with rods, and I am leaning towards this second option, as I could make a quicker change from the Steadicam to another support shot without having to recalibrate the focus motor. So, I'm searching a Universal base plate with rods from Chrosziel, RedRock, Zacuto, Proaim, etc to screw over the Steadicam dovetail.
