Also consider your location and where you will need to service your gear. It's a no brainer if one is in the US (xcs, pro, tiffen). If in Europe there are a few more options as far as "local" manufacturers (mk-v, sachtler). Steadirig has great options but since you have done a thorough search there's no need for me to tell you that right? rb absolutely right ron..i have done some research..the problem is i dnt live in us or europe..i live in india...so all i want some suggestion from my fellow operators regarding which sled should i go for as there are no possiblities of my gear getting serviced anywhere close by.... They are fairly inexpensive, come up frequently on the used market and have been proven to be bullet proof. Many big ops still use their original pro1 sleds they bought in the early to mid 90's. Hi Kapil Have you contacted any of your fellow operators to see what they are flying .From my understanding there are quite a few Ultra's and masters rigs working out of Mumbai I would have to agree with Ron on the pro simple to use very little go's wrong and now the Mk1's are becomeing very afordable and Alex this forum is full of information read it first . If you do go down the Pro path the post size on the masters arm is different to the 3a /Pro gimble Hugo from Steadirig do make adaptors ok . If you do go down the Tiffen path Lemac in Sydney have a good Tiffen service dept just in case . Good Luck A simple search on www.steadicam-ops /database .
