PRO Gpi

Just wanted to give a shout out about PRO GPI. I recently bought a second hand PRO arm from a mate of mine, and I'm absolutely in love with this piece of precision engineering. I also was in need of a new vest and, after reading countless testimonials about the rigidity, comfort and engineering of the PRO vest I took the plunge and ordered one. The vest, ofcoarse, is fantastic. But that's only part of it. The customer service from PRO is equally as good as the products they put out. The vest arrived in Australia right on quoted shipping time and the fit is perfect.

Loads of posts on the forums have already said this and more about PRO, just thought I'd add my recent experience and my two cents.

Everyone over at PRO is fantastic. I had lots of questions when I got my new arm, and George was really great. Fast responses, very knowledgeable.

I also had some more bits off Klassen recently too. Both these companies although very busy are able to make you feel that you are their only customer. You will usually get a response within an hour and they couldn't be more pleasant or accommodating.

Great experiences that others could learn from...

Rick.

I agree wholeheartedly. Jack, at GPI, has spent at least a few hours with me going over various idiotic questions I've had. Probably all seasoned steadicam operators would know the answers to these questions, but Jack, (and Ashley) treated me with respect and answered my questions in depth anyway. Because of this, and other things, I never hesitate to recommend them.

A couple weeks ago, I went in to GPI to buy the mythical 12v only jumper block. I actually stopped by on my way to set, hoping to buy it quickly. I asked if they hads one to sell me, and discovered they had none in inventory. Jack offered to wire me up one, and expecting a bad reply I asked how long it would take. "15 minutes".

"I'll take it!!!".

Turns out his estimate was way off. I was walking out, jumper in hand, in less than 10 minutes later.

Jumper block powered a RED all day with no problems.

My click lock of my vest broke off a couple of days back due to the

humidity causing a whole lots of rust. And I was in big trouble

coz I had a shoot the following monday that I needed it and I sent

a SOS to Ashley. And without hesistation, Ashley sent out the item

even though it was nearing the weekend and amidst a busy schedule!

Ashley understood the importance and urgency of the item to me and

it got here just in time for me to put it on and get to work :)

The turnaround was just pure amazing and even though I got my vest

off second hand, GPI treated me like a valued customer and I really

appreciate this tremendously. They definitely have my full support

and definitely going to invest in a Pro 2 when I sell off my current

system. Yup, many companies have alot to learn from them indeed!

thanks everyone at GPI!

I love how this forum occasionally goes off on tangents of good towards some of our beloved vendors and GPI certainly fits that bill. I bought George Billinger's heavily modified 3a sled off them in 1996 (when they were still partnered with Bob DeRose) and they treated me like I was buying a full blown PRO sled. I have been shopping with them ever since and have had nothing but great experiences. Bravo.
