What not moral, not fun or not cool in a good steadicam work?. I´m NOT writer, producer or director, I´m only a steadicam op. According with your post is not moral any action, bloody or violent movie. Pulp fiction, Rambo, Damn bastards and others... are not moral for you? I´m sorry for you dude, but Walt Disney cartoons department does not need steadicam operators. This is only a video-clip.
Premium Members Juan M.Ramos SOC Posted March 27, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 27, 2011 None of the films that your names shows violence as fun, can you disagree with what do you shot or not, but hundreds of people have died in similar massacres in several recent events. Would it be moral to do a video clip to show how something fun the Columbine massacre?.We are not mercenaries;we are cameramen.

Premium Members Juan M.Ramos SOC Posted March 28, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 28, 2011 There is something, always, worst but that doesn't mean that Qadaffi would be better than Polpot... we have a responsibility to our work; it's just my opinion it doesn't mean it is right. Premium Members RobVanGelder Posted March 28, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 28, 2011 This was certainly a project that I do not want to be connected to. Some sick brain thought this was cool, i guess but i do no see it, at all. Steadicam - wise it might be ok, but than again, as an operator I do not want to show this to possible customers. The counterreaction can be very fierce and backfire totally. Morally, i would totally decline this shoot as it does not have any real or serious plot, it is just sick and sad. yMmv ( your Morals may vary) Rob

Premium Members Twojay Dhillon Posted March 29, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 29, 2011 I am the farthest thing from a member of the Ethics/Morality Police, BUT, as somebody that grew up during the era of workplace shootouts such as 101 California St., I find this to be completely unwatchable. You may have done a somersault at full tilt down a flight of stairs, in the course of your operating, and I'd be none the wiser as I turned it off after the f*ckheads started dancing. Boo to whoever came up with the concept.
