Premium Members Jess Haas SOC Posted March 31, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 31, 2011 Today when i plugged in one of my chargers(Anton Bauer lifesaver dual charger) there was some very intense arcing going on inside the case and it looked like something was burning. Luckily when i unplugged it the burning stopped. I opened up the case and one end of two resistors was scorched. no sign of any foreign material or anything else that would have caused the problem. Anyone ever have anything similar happen? ironically i just purchased a new charger two days ago but i was definitely not expecting this one to go bad on me. -Jess Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Mine was plugged in overnight, the smell woke me. In my camera room I spotted an internal campfire burning. I called for RMA and sent to Anton. No phone call or any acknowledgement of the problem. The replacement took a month to arrive. I noticed how loose the power cable seats into unit and arcs. Having the same problem again.
