Premium Members Ramon Engle Posted April 14, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 14, 2011 Came across this cart maker at NAB http://www.inovativcarts.com/ Great stuff. No accessories aimed at our craft but they are very receptive to input from various industry professionals. I spoke with Patrick about customizing a cart to accept my custom cases. Check them out. Premium Members Bryan Fowler Posted April 19, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 19, 2011 Yep. Nice carts indeed. We spoke with them a few times about the steadicam need. They asked around at the Tiffen booth to get ideas of what we needed, and probably talked to a few of you too. If you have specific needs they should be willing to hear them. I'm sure they can't address them all, but they are keen to make something that works for us. If you can't tell from the photos, everything I saw was top notch work. Quality aluminum (quite think too) and nice wheels. The locking disk brake wheels were quite cool. Not sure how much I would need that, but it's got style for sure. For those of us with small vehicles, the Scout model looks great. packs down to 7in thick. Anyway, glad to see they got some publicity here. If you are an Op in the LA area, visit them and tell them whatca want, whatca really really want. =)
Premium Members RonBaldwin Posted April 20, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 20, 2011 these look like nice carts -- and $$! Fwi, Yeager will do custom shelf sizes and mods (had a modded yeager jr for a few years now -- fits in my mazda with all my shiite) so Backstage is not the only other option to going completely custom. I wonder what ever happened to Erwin's super-cart?
Premium Members Bryan Fowler Posted April 20, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 20, 2011 I wonder what ever happened to Erwin's super-cart? I hear it started it's own production company in Vancouver. It's working with SciFi channel a lot. That could be a rumor though.
