Im not saying its a good idea! I am wondering if its a good idea?.... They do seem really strong but would you put a heavy Gyro on a vehicle mount attache to your rig with one of these? It would be amazingly fast and convenient for all sorts of reasons if your could.

It is incredibly fast and convenient, i love it. That said, i would not trust a gyro on the vlock. I would want something a lot beefier. Premium Members Jess Haas SOC Posted April 20, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 20, 2011 Check out the 16x9 cinelocks. the connection is rock solid, smaller, cheaper and less likely to be accidently released. Never used them for gyros but I would think that they would be a better place to start. -Jess
Premium Members Thomas English Posted April 20, 2011 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted April 20, 2011 Hey Jess, They do look interesting however they seem to have less mounting points. I'd like to get at least 2 screws into both the male and the female side of this story. These seem very much for Noga Arms and the like. http://16x9inc.com/shop/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=
Premium Members Jess Haas SOC Posted April 21, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 21, 2011 Dont have it in front of me at the moment but i believe those pictures are a little outdated and one side lof it now actually has two screw holes and the other side has a set screw in addition to the screw hole. Still probably not perfect but it is a nice solid quick release that could be useful with some custom plates and maybe some slight modification. -Jess
Premium Members Thomas English Posted April 21, 2011 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted April 21, 2011 And cheap enough to test. I want to go a standard across my whole sled with little bits and bobs like battery plates, transmitters etc on one lock type. I'll check those out. Thanks Jess. Premium Members Amando Crespo Posted April 22, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 22, 2011 Hi!. Seriously. To attach gyros to the sled is not easy. GYROS must be so attached like an stone.... NO VIBRATIONS IN YOUR SLED!!!. V-Loock mount is a good system for batts, magic bracket, or... any gadgets, but not the best choice to support the vibrations for the gyros´work. For gyros, I use a CARTONI´s system, made by Gianni( Cartoni´s enginery).. I promise upload pictures about this system... I only can said, that..IT RULES SO RIGHT!. ;) ;)
Premium Members Thomas English Posted April 22, 2011 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted April 22, 2011 Ok Amando, I've not understood your cryptic responses to this thread but I would love to see what Cartoni quick lock bracket you are talking about. Please post a link, photo or hand drawn picture (no crayons please). Thanks!

Please post a link, photo or hand drawn picture (no crayons please). Thanks! Ha, ha, ha. Good advice about my english .Thomas!. It wasn´t cryptic response... May be it was for my bad english , I´m sorry. From Cartoni´s, it is not a quick lock bracket... It is a right bracket. I think, that the quick locks for gyros is wrong decision.. gyros must be attached strongly. Any way... I´LL UPLOAD THE PICT ATTACH I´M SPEAKING ABOUT...
