Steadi-Alexa Plate

The Alexa® has a narrow 1/2" deep channel between the rod supports resulting in a gap at the base of the camera when mounting your Steadi dovetail plate.

The Steadi-Alexa plate solves this gap problem with a single piece of aluminum, professionally machined and anodized black. The plate comes complete with two captive stainless steel 3/8" screws for attaching the Alexa® and two non-captive stainless steel 3/8" screws for attaching to the Steadi dovetail plate.

Unlike other adapters, our Steadi-Alexa plate features a 'floating nut' making it a universal fit for all available plates. Rotating the floating nut 180° gives you extra travel in the opposite direction.

Mounting the ARRI Alexa® camera to your Steadicam® dovetail has never been so easy with the Steadi-Alexa plate.

or you go to IMS in Burbank, get a small piece of alum for $1.89, then spend 20 minutes in the garage cutting it to the desired length, drilling 4 holes, then tapping two of them. Add beer and all is well.

or... you can just use the little bp1 (?) plate supplied with the camera. I think it bolts right up to one of Greg's plates and is really close to the pro plate for arri cameras (just drill out two of the countered holes in the plate a tiny bit and you can use two screws).

Michael,

now I see why you were asking so many questions about my original alexa plate, pretending you had no idea what it is good for.

It is sad to see that a company like lentequip is in the need of copying others.

Wow, very dissapointing. Glad I have the original!

Michael,

now I see why you were asking so many questions about my original alexa plate, pretending you had no idea what it is good for.

It is sad to see that a company like lentequip is in the need of copying others.

First, I would like to respond to Matthias' insinuation that Lentequip is the manufacturer of the Steadi-Alexa plate. They are not! The fine people at Lentequip allowed us to use their wonderful store to facilitate the sale of the Steadi-Alexa plate. Matthias, what I find sad is that you could have emailed me before making such allegations on the forum and falsely implicate a fantastic company in our industry.

Secondly Matthias, I was ready to purchase your Alexa plate if it wasn't for one of my Steadicam operator friends that commented on the two fixed mounting holes for the dovetail plate. As we all know there are different mounting hole patterns that exist on our camera dovetail plates which sometimes don't line up with at least two of the holes. With this in mind, we decided to make a plate that addresses this problem with what we call the 'floating nut" design. Basically, our Steadi-Alexa plate will accommodate a dovetail pattern that will fit.

Lastly, we've had many positive responses to the Steadi-Alexa plate with the 'floating nut' design.

Thank You
