Yes, I am OK, thanks for asking

I did feel a short tremble this morning in my appartment on the 6th floor.

Only much later I learned that it was an earth quake. That´s because in Thailand there are almost no english speaking TV stations or radio stations.

Very convenient for those few million tourist and foreigners......

I was on one of those beaches a few days ago, but I and the korean/thai crew moved out yesterday.........

We were lucky....... :(

Hey man

Good to hear that you are allright. Weird but Alec is right, I just logged on to see if anybody had heard from you yet. I just got an email from some friends that own a surf charter in padang, sumatra and they are good as well. You were the first person I thought about when I was done reading her message.

take care

Guys, that is heart warming! thanks for that!

Personally I have no damage, but this country will have another recovery, maybe for years. , Economic crashes, Sars, Avian Flu and now this.....

On the other hand, life goes on here, outside the affected areas, almost as if nothing happened. In fact, I am surprised by the low general interest here in Bangkok.

But my girlfriend was just asked to come to the french embassy to help translating for stranded foreigners.

I really hope it does not affect the film business here..... :(

once again, Thanks for thinking about me, it shows that working with Steadicam means more to people than just humping some steel around! :)

rob,

i was shooting a hell job on sunday and only found out about the devastation late last night. glad to hear that you're ok. i'll actually be going to thailand next month; if you're free maybe we can hook up for a beer. be interested in learning more about the scene out there. also, any contact info for the labs there? i'd also like to visit them.
