Moderators Alec Jarnagin SOC Posted May 28, 2011 Moderators Report Share Posted May 28, 2011 For Sale: Klassen Universal/Dual Mount Harness with low-profile carbon arm. This is a Klassen Universal harness that was made with the extra layers of carbon fiber needed so it can be used as a Dual Mount Harness. The holes have not been drilled for a front socket block, but the structural integrity is there - a pricey option – see the comparison chart here: http://www.walterklassen.com/equipment/back-mounted-harness/harness-comparison-chart/ If you wish to add a front socket block (not included), you will need to send the front door to Walter to have the holes drilled (at your expense). I was on the fence about this feature when I bought it so this was the compromise (drilling the holes is not expensive; I just didn’t want them there if I wasn’t going to use them). In the end, I used the harness for a while but ultimately went back to a front mounted vest. The harness is in good shape but I did use it so there are the usual signs of cosmetic wear. Includes: - Leather arm bag, leather tool kit filled with spare parts and air bladder pump. - Extension piece to extend the door hinge for a looser fit. - Lots of spare pads for various weather conditions and fit. - Klassen travel/carrying Bag (this is another $400 new, but included) In a nutshell, the back mounted harness was just not for me. Walter’s customer service is legendary and he did everything to make me happy (extra pads, etc). But, alas, I have not worn this harness in a couple of years so its time to send it to a proper home. I’m 5’10” and 160 pounds. I believe the shell is a medium, but I honestly don’t remember. Again, included is an extension piece (which I usually left in place as I preferred a full air bladder – this means the harness should fit someone even thinner than myself) and a variety of pads. Price: $4500.00 US I will be attending Cinegear LA next week. I will also be attending the Tiffen Swap meet and the Stabilization Gear Expo. If you will be in town and wish to try this harness out, I will bring it. Please let me know. Thank you.
