Premium Members AdamKeith Posted January 2, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 2, 2005 I found a book series called "Advanced Camera Techniques Volumes 1-5" on B & H Photo's web site including a volume on "Advanced Steadicam Techniques". Any know who wrote it? here is a link http://www03.bhphotovideo.com/product/1539...BVTATS/REG/1046 Happy New Year, Adam Keith www.qvideo.tv

Premium Members Jason Torbitt Posted January 2, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 2, 2005 I own a copy of 'Advanced Steadicam Techniques' on DVD (incidentally it won't play on my DVD player, but it will on my PC). I think it is a good thing to have in your collection. It covers setting up the rig, balancing, some ideas for sequences etc - everything you would expect to cover in a workshop yourself. There are a few good tips and things to remember, although if you are already a successful Steadicam operator, there won't be much on it that is new to you. It isn't difficult to grasp (assuming you know what a Steadicam is :D ) I remember someone saying that they would like to have a workshop with Jerry Holway having seen this DVD, I have to agree with them. Premium Members Thomas English Posted January 3, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 3, 2005 It is worth watching but i really really wish someone would make a decent video. I am surprised really. Come on.... maybe they want to keep their real tricks secret! who can blame them really having spent years and years developing an art they don t want to give it away lightly. or more likely the people qualified to make such a video are simply too busy on big films/comercials

No problem. Or you can do it in an editing program.
dustinlucht
Don't blame formats, blame the plugs. It's their fault this time.
