I'm not sure the push to the 21 would be worth it for the potential short comings if you were to have a tricky lens one day. Especially if it were my primary focus motor I think the 21 is essentially an iris motor. They are around the same price from what I understand. Rick. Does anyone have the MVE21? Premium Members Stephen Wymer Posted July 26, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 26, 2011 I'm with Rick. I received my M26VE and BDR a couple weeks ago, and I couldn't be happier. From what I understand, the M-One is fairly noisy, but not noisy enough to bother the sound crew, and the M26VE makes a fraction of the noise that the M-One makes, and it has higher torque at 1.80 Nm. Basically what I'm trying to say is that if you are worried about noise, don't. The 26 is extremely quiet, even compared to the M21VE, so I can't imagine it would ever be a problem.
