Hello Marc,

Thank you for your reply.

There has been a considerable extent of anticipation for the Glidecam Smooth Shooter among many video and broadcast professionals as of late, and the buzz surrounding our tradeshow exhibits (i.e. Satis, Broadcast India, InterBEE, DV Expo, Video Forum...) has been great! Please do try and stop by our booth #C8929 at NAB 2005 (April 18th - 21st), if attending the show. The NEW Glidecam V-35 system will also be display.

More details, and photos will be forthcoming in the following weeks.

Please feel free to email me at tomh@glidecam.com with any, or all questions.

Regards,

Tom Howie

It might be me...... but if a producer of anything needs good looking girls that look into the camera to sell it´s goods, it always distracts me........ and I don´t see the goods anymore!

like the beauties lying in the bonnet of a new car..... :D

Silly me..... or manufacturer?

I guess for $1499 one can't be too picky, but not having a separate LCD monitor on the bottom of the sled is severely limiting. I mean, if Blondie in the photo flipped open the camera's onboard LCD then she couldn't even see it with the camera at her side as pictured. Add around $500 for a decent LCD with some form of mount and perhaps this could be of limited use. Is it possible to run a cable up the post and would one have to drill out some holes on the top & bottom to fish through?

I'm not trying to say this is a bad device, just limited as is. But what do you expect for such a price point?
