Premium Members Terry Lasater Posted September 15, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 15, 2011 What do I need in order to view the signal from my Canon 7D's miniHDMI output on my Steadicam ProVid2's CRT? Certainly, there is a magic box that will do this for me. If so, what is necessary to power it? Thanks in advance!
Premium Members Sydney Seeber Posted September 15, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 15, 2011 Why not just go analog to analog which I am sure is compatible with your rig? It's standard NTSC out of the mini port, but you need the Canon cable that should have come with the camera. I say that based on assuming your Provid doesn't have SD/HDSDI capability. So in essence I'm saying the digital to analog conversion out of the HDMI port isn't useful to you, you won't gain anything.

I've never used that port and overlooked it. I'll have to scrounge for that cable but I'm sure I have it somewhere.

Thanks for pointing out how simple and elegant the solution was. :)
