Premium Members Guille Moreno Posted September 16, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 16, 2011 Hello all, I'm looking to buy some V-mount batteries for my Sled. I recently bought a Steadicam Phantom, and I still don't have batteries. I was considering to buy 4 Powercubes with quad charger to begin with, to work mostly with the Alexa. But I've been recommended to consider the new Paglink batteries presented recently at IBC in Amsterdam. Does anyone have comments about them? Would you recommend them over the Powercubes, for its technical aspects, and regardless of the price (which I don't know yet, and might be a consideration if it's a big difference... but for my first set of batteries I just want to have good reliable batteries to work with any power demanding camera)? Thank you in advance, hope to have some replies soon, Respectfully, Guillermo

Premium Members richard bellon Posted September 16, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 16, 2011 I know this is a little off topic and I don't know anything about the batteries you have mentioned but I recently bought some VECT batteries (160s). I ran Alexa for approx 3 1/4 hrs with 2 of these in 24v mode. Also was powering decimator, Preston, and modulus. I didn't have the viewfinder or onboard monitor on Also shooting to card. Premium Members Osvaldo Silvera SOC Posted September 19, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 19, 2011 Hi, Other battery systems and designs may be growing in popularity, but an Anton Bauer battery can be found in the deepest most hidden corners of the earth!. If you travel to a bunch of different places, Anton Bauer will be to most common type of broadcast battery, Their customer support is excellent and their batteries are in one word... RELIABLE. I have always used Anton Bauer batteries on jobs where I bring my own power. I've had the same charger for about 10 years, and before that I had a lifesaver charger for another 10 years, Sold it still working as it should. Even though the other AB mount knock off batteries are good and alot cheaper, I continue to choose Anton Bauer. If anything goes wrong with a copy cat product who can you go to? Just my .02 Have fun, Fly level
